From games, we now go to the opera scene. When we talk about opera singers, names like Pavarotti, Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli are the first to come to mind. But I'm not going to talk about them. I going to write about a fabulous singer named Katherine Jenkins... after some more facts. hehe
Recently there has been a sub-genre that has been growing in popularity. Wikipedia shows this subgenre to be popera or pop opera. This is where we find strong artists like Josh Groban, Il Divo, etc have excelled the past few years. Katherine Jenkins, a natural Welch mezzo-soprano, is I believe a popera singer as she includes classical-pop songs in her repertoire. She has had quite a journey before realizing her success in the music industry - not bad for someone who is only in her early 30s.
But enough of her, it's now time for the music. It is entitled "Hallelujah".
Verse1:
Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music do you?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Verse2:
Well, baby I've been here before
I've seen this room, and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you.
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a vict'ry march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Verse3:
There was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved with you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Verse4:
Maybe there's a God above
but all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who adore you
But it's not the cry tthat you hear at night
It's not somebody who has seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
